The technical department agree that the easiest and quickest way is to replace the complete summer bypass assembly.

The summer bypass for the Maxi unit is different to the bypass for the midi and Mini so you will need to confirm which bypass assembly you require. Attached are the build drawings for the Maxi and Midi/Mini units and photographs of the summer bypass motor and assembly.

If you look at the "Front View" photograph, this is the view of the motor looking into the bypass section with the access panel removed. You can see that the motor is only fixed in position with 3 screws.
But the problem is you can not get access to the 3 screws as the motor is fitted very close to the rear of the pcb housing. The only way to obtain access to the screws would be to remove the cover that the isolator switch is fitted to, then carefully move the cables out of the way and then drill a large hole using a tank cutter to obtain access to the screw heads.

The technical departmen have not tried this method yet, so would suggest that we stick to the complete removal and replacement of the by-pass assembly.

Care must be taken when fitting the plugs into the socket of the motor as they can be fitted back to front and also on to the incorrect pins.
